The Moon
Every month anew.

The influence of the moon on biorhythms - rhythms in harmony with nature
The moon has always had a special significance for life on earth - not only for the tides, but also for many biological rhythms. The influence of the lunar cycle on the body and psyche can also be observed in humans. Although this connection has not been scientifically proven as clearly as with daylight, numerous experience reports and cross-cultural traditions show that the position of the moon and in particular the phases of the moon can play a role in human experience and behavior.
The moon phase as a cyclical clock
The moon phase describes the visible part of the moon illuminated by sunlight - from new moon (invisible) to waxing half moon to full moon (completely visible) and back again. On average, this cycle lasts around 29.5 days and follows a regularly recurring sinusoidal curve - similar to the mathematical principle according to which many of the body's own rhythms work.
The course of the moon phase can therefore be depicted well graphically in the biorhythm diagram:
- The new moon corresponds to the minimum of the curve,
- Full moon the maximum,
- the transitions in between mark the increasing and decreasing phases.
Lunar rhythms and biorhythms - a complementary perspective
Although the influence of the moon on the human biorhythm can vary from person to person, many people use the position of the moon as an additional indicator of their own physical and emotional state. Some report sleeping problems during a full moon, increased sensitivity or inner restlessness during certain moon phases. Others experience these phases as particularly creative, intuitive or regenerative.
The moon follows a regular, natural rhythm that influences many biological processes on earth - possibly including our own. Even if the effect cannot be measured exactly, the course of the moon phases can be a valuable addition to the analysis of individual biorhythms. The integration of both rhythms - sunlight and the lunar cycle - opens up a more comprehensive view of the natural clocks of life and promotes a more conscious sense of one's own inner clock.
